Highlight of 2025 Graduates Achievement

    • One-fourth of the cohort obtained 40 marks or above while over half of the cohort obtained 35 points or above. The highest diploma points awarded is 44. For the 2025/2026 school year, a total of three students achieved this milestone. This cohort achieved an average of 36.4 points which places ELCHK Lutheran Academy at the world’s top 100 amongst over 6200 IB schools worldwide.
    • In recent consecutive years, an average of one in every seven students has been admitted to the University of Hong Kong.
    • One-quarter of the graduating class has secured places at Hong Kong’s top three universities: the University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
    • A number of graduates have also opted to decline offers from local Hong Kong universities to pursue higher education abroad at institutions such as King’s College London, University of Warwick, University of Toronto, McGill University, Monash University, and Macau University of Science and Technology.
    • Approximately 60% of students have enrolled in accredited universities; however, in recent years, a growing number of students have chosen to take a gap year or pursue alternative non-degree programmes.
    • Regarding the HKDSE results, the school established a benchmark three years ago, aiming for a passing rate across all subjects that meets the Day School Candidates by today, as well as a five-year goal (two years from now) for the proportion of Level 4 or higher grades to align with the territory-wide standard. While certain subjects have met their objectives, others have still to attain the required standard, and targeted follow-up actions are currently underway.
    • ⁠A few years ago, the school began introducing the International Advanced Levels (iAL) curriculum within the HKDSE pathway; notably, a number of direct subsidy scheme (DSS) schools have also followed suit this year. Meanwhile, our school’s performance in iAL has demonstrated steady progress, successfully assisting a significant number of students in securing university admission.
