Elena LIAN

Hello! My name is Elena Lian, I have ten years of teaching experience at both local and international schools. I graduated from Fujian Normal University and then obtained my Master’s Degree from EUDHK and PGDE from The University of Hong Kong.

I love to do volunteering. In 2008, I was one of the Olympic volunteers in Beijing, and I worked in the Olympic village. In 2009, I joined the Confucius Institute of China, and worked in the Philippines as a volunteer Chinese teacher. I also have working experience in Singapore.

In my spare time, I love to travel all over the world and write Chinese calligraphy. Su Shi is my favorite poet and I like his poem “竹杖芒鞋輕勝馬。誰怕?一簑煙雨任平生 ”, which means “Better than saddled horse, I like sandals and cane. O I would fain. Spend a straw-cloaked life in mist and rain.”
